Acekard card for DS recenlty has lots of news! First, they announced they break the new 3DS and has released the Acekard 3 which is claimed being able to be used for the new nintendo 3d console. And there seems a split of the acekard team so now there are two sites www.acekard.com and www.acekard.cc. At this moment, we still base on www.acekard.com and recently, there is a new kernel update: AKAIO 1.8.6.
This new kernel AKAIO 1.8.6 has fixed the newest DS game Pokemon White and Black. This is cool. More games being fixed in this new update include Blue Dragon, Gyakuten Kenji 2, Call of Duty – Black Ops and more. Acekard card users can check change log in zip file for more details.

More importantly, we strongly suggest to format your microSD card before you update the new kernel. Before formatting, remember to backup your files as once format, all files will be gone. Then use [professional format tool] to reformat your MicroSD card. I usually use FAT32 to format microSD. You can go to the official site of the SD card you use to check which format tool the manufacturers recommend. Format your microSD card will solve most of the loading issues and problems when running a very big size game. Acekard 2i has received lots of good comments from DS users in forum. We hope this time their splite will not affect the quality and maybe competition will further push their effort in enhancing the flash card performance.
